Hi Angels! My name is Lidan, but you can also call me Tahlia. Thank you so much for visiting my store! If you don't know, I live on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, IAO, the surfing capital of the Philippines.

I grew up in a metropolitan city, but I have always loved the ocean and dreamed of being an island girl. Even when I was in the city, I was always trying to do any kind of activity that involved water. When I first came to the Philippines, I was amazed by the thousands of beautiful islands here and the wondrous beauty of the underwater world. That's when I had the idea of embracing its beauty into something that we can wear day to day, just to be reminded of the ocean whenever we go.

Among all those beautiful islands, I was lucky to discover IAO, and I immediately fell in love with this island and surfing. Here, I found the nicest locals, inspiring artists, some of the best waves, and a group of people who just love and care so much for the ocean. I decided to stay and commit to surfing. I have never felt happier in my life, and I am finally manifesting my dream of being an island girl.

How it started
I have been asked this question for so many times, it's time to share with you how I started my small salty business:
I brought lots of jewelry with me before I moved to IAO, but they all rusted quickly after a few weeks of surfing every day. That's when I started searching for "oceanproof jewelry" but quickly found that they are very pricy for a broke surfer(me). I searched "what jewelry does not rust in the ocean" on Google instead, and I found out that the best and the most affordable choice is jewelry made of  stainless steel. As you can see, most of our pieces from the store are made of stainsless steel, which ensures the durability and longevity for all kinds of salty adventures. I spent half a year traveling in Asia, searching for reliable studio partners who specialize in making stainless steel jewelry. I didn't want to be a part of mass production with those big factories so I would chose small jewelry studios instead. I went to the studio to actually witness how the products were made and every piece that you see from our store now is carefully finished by hands from the studios. I would wear the product samples I received from the studios and surf in the ocean to test if those products can really resist the ocean elements. 
And there, our story begins.
